Sexual equality campaigners have today hailed the role of facebook in helping to bring about a new era of equal opportunities for women.
"In the past" one campaigner told us "stalking was an exclusively male pastime. That's because women just didn't posses the physical presence to harass men in this way, and were often too scared to make the transition from slightly creepy behaviour into outright harassement. But now with Facebook and other social networking sites that has all changed, and we are seeing a dramatic upturn in female stalkers. This just goes to show - anything men can do women can now do better, "
There are now hopes that the power of the internet could open up a whole world of criminal opportunities that have traditionally been closed off for women.
One company is hoping to cash in on this trend with its new range of 'rob-bots', giving women the opportunity to engage in armed robbery without the physically intimidating necessity of actually being there and shouting at people and stuff.
