George Osbourne and the Conservative-Liberal Democrat coalition faced a tough task in putting together today's budget - to combat criticism that they were sacrificing economic growth in order to cut the deficit by putting forward a pro-business pro-growth budget, whilst also reassuring the public that 'we are all in this together'.

They sought to do this with a radical new approach to tax avoidance. Experts say that tax avoidance by big business will be dramatically cut by a radical new plan - not asking for it in the first place. British corporation tax will be slashed, making it the lowest in the G7 and way lower than big economies such as America.

One inside source told us "Eventually, when we have dealt with the deficit, we hope to reduce tax avoidance by big business and the super-rich 100%, by not asking them for any tax at all. It is a fool-proof plan that cannot fail. After all, how can you avoid something that doesn't exist?"
