Following defeat in the recent UK referendum on the 'alternative vote' system the Lib Dems, who championed the lost cause that was 'AV' are now looking for an alternative to the alternative vote.
Had AV been accepted as the new system for voting in general elections voters would have been able to rank candidated in order of preference, with second, third and fourth preferences being taken into.. VIEW STORY PAGE |

It was a tense atmosphere through out the corridors of power. The coalition government were under pressure again and they still hadn’t really recovered from the debacle over tuition fees. The Prime Minister was looking pensive as he sat in the small wood panelled office waiting for the chief whip to return. He couldn’t understand it. Everyone loves a student protest, we all d..
