From where she sat, the black creature was a dot on her vision, a minute speck of dark scuffling across the light. Curiosity filled her senses, and she did not let her eyes lose track of the eight limbed creature as she made her way towards where it was continuing its journey into the illumination of the light. Immediately, through pale amber eyes, her minds dice had already began to roll.
She recognised the creature of eight as it paused; eight dark eyes shifting to take a glance at her. This was a spider. Not that recognition mattered, or the reason the spider, larger than any other creature that had dared make its way into her lair, had chosen to halt. Her dice had chosen.
She seized the moment, claiming the spider and taking her leave into the shadows. The creature squirmed, and she dropped it, challenging it silently. It tried to run, but she stopped it, an outstretched limb making a catch and tossing it to the other.
Pleasure took hold of her amber glare, and the spider began to curl, seeking desperate protection from the game it had been subjected to. But she continued batting the creature between her limbs, until the spider stopped. Then her torturous game was over.
Unmoving, the creature no longer posed an interest, but she knew she must dispose of the broken toy. She took it again, between sharpened fangs, and crushed it, bittersweet liquid seeping into her mouth. The taste was desirable, so she ate.
In her mind, the spider murderer smiled, and rolled her minds dice again.
