After days of wrangling since the inconclusive general election result the Conservative and Liberal Democrats have finally come together and officially announced their alliance government, which was quickly Con-Dem-ned by satirists across the country before they have even done anything.

A Labour spokesman has said that "we all know that the Lib-Lab alliance of the 1970's was a horrible failure, and now the whole country has been Con-Dem ed to innnefective government for a second time.
