Romney was also a businessman before going into politics, and it has been said that his changing political positions on various issues is because he approaches politics like a businessman - offering the public what he thinks they want at any given time and not sticking dogmatically to things which aren't working. Many people do not like this, because in America people do not expect politicians to give the public what they want, due to the fact that this has traditionally not been the case.
