This book is funny, but it is also thoughtful, educational, and much more affectionate than you might think.

Judging has now closed for our first ever short story writing competition! We have been so impressed with the calibur of entries that in addition to the ebook we had planned to publish, we will also be producing a print anthology with the 10 winners, the best runners up, and more!

The Revolution Already Happened is a short story satire by Dean Walsh - the editor of this site.

In addition to hopefully being quite funny it is also hopefully an intelligent critique of our relationships with all the technology which surrounds us, by telling the story of a man who realizes that the machines have already taken over without anyone noticing.

Synopsis:

Dave is a taxi driver in London during Margaret Thatcher's years as British Prime Minister in the 1980's. He has a pretty screwed up life, is seperated from his wife and can't see his child. All he has left to cling to is his love of London and 'the knowledge' - the encyclopedic memory of London roads that all taxi driver need to have.

According to the blurb the author of this book started a new genre with works like this, a genre called 'fratire', which I assume means blokey, lads 'frat boy' satire. I have absolutely no idea whether anyone outside of the blurb writing community and perhaps the odd journalist has ever heard of 'fratire' let alone used the word, but I do know that this is a funny book.
