We have seen that in the last fortnight or so the world faced a nightmare in the form of WikiLeaks. The deepest secrets were disclosed, the man behind the leaks was put into jail for “not using a condom during sex” and recently reports are there that the United States is trying to frame cases against Julian Assange – trying to fix charges!
Free speech, freedom of expression and lack of control in the cyber media was well used by WikiLeaks to set the tone for a change.
India – going a bit techno-savvy - went on to expose the top diplomats through phone-tapping. We may not be having too many emails/cables, but we do have the voices. This is a pleasant change to see the cards rolling in some way. Indian bureaucratic policies needs a shake up and its over due that the common man thinks beyond the basic roti, kapda aur makaan. The youth, instead of blaming on the internet should face the corrupt minds head-on and look for a change.
Change is constant, we need to accelerate. Media needs to play a good role in that. Sourcing TV reality shows as entertainment news won’t do good. Time want some change for sure. How about having a real Indileaks?
